Divorce from Bed and Board

Unlike absolute divorce, divorce from bed and board is a fault based action. One spouse, who has been injured by the other, files this action in order to remove the other spouse from the marital residence. This usually occurs when one spouse is unwilling to sign a separation agreement. Again, one spouse must be a resident of North Carolina six (6) months prior to the filing of the action. There are specific fault grounds in North Carolina, so contact Enecks & Enecks today to see if you have a case for divorce from bed and board.
